Magellan's claims tools to retire Oct. 1 — for faster, simpler claims, use claims functions on Availity Essentials

Availity Essentials is now the primary place to submit claims, check claim status and view remittance and explanation of payment (EOP)/explanation of benefit (EOB) data information — if you haven’t started using Availity yet, now’s the time.

What’s changing

Magellan’s Submit a Claim Online (Claims Courier) and Check Claims Status (Claims Inquiry) will retire from MagellanProvider.com after Oct. 1, 2026.

Why

Due to system changes, these Magellan applications will no longer be supported. Availity Essentials is the portal for Magellan providers to perform secure claim transactions, and all secure applications will soon be accessible only via Availity’s portal.

What’s not changing

You still can submit Magellan claims, check claim status and view remittance and EOP/EOB data quickly and easily with Availity Essentials.

Attention EAP providers

This change does not impact EAP reimbursement requests. Continue to use the EASI Form via the EAP Services portal. (From Availity Payer Spaces, choose Magellan Healthcare, then go to the EAP tile.)
